Galicia City of Culture

Art made from quartzite stone

The Galicia City of Culture is an architectural complex designed by Peter Eisenman, located in Santiago de Compostela (Spain).

Erected on the summit of Mount Gaiás, the complex consists of several buildings and spaces intended for cultural and entertainment purposes.

The Eisenman project has created a new summit on Mount Gaiás. It consists of a series of stone buildings built to be reminiscent of an archaeological site and broken up into areas that evoke the Vieira motif, a traditional symbol of Compostela.
